Karen Bailey has 25 years experience within the field of conflict resolution, working both as a senior Human Resources specialist and a Change Consultant. She has helped many people to resolve their issues within their working environment, not only saving their employers both time and money but enabling the individuals to develop lasting and meaningful relationships.
Karen first trained as a workplace mediator in 1999 and became accredited in 2007 establishing her own mediation consultancy in 2009. Karen has introduced in-house mediation schemes into several organisations and has been involved in research projects that have increased the awareness of workplace mediation in the UK and have gone on to inform Government policy on mediation. Karen regularly assesses delegates on Consensio’s Accredited Workplace Mediation course – accredited by OCN (Open College Network).
Karen has a Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching Psychology from Leeds University and a Masters in Management Learning and Leadership (MAMLL) from Lancaster University, where she focused her research on conflict resolution. Karen is also a Fellow of the CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and is a member of the EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council).
